Fix Infinix Hot Note Won’t Power On After Trying To Flash Using SP Flash Tool

Still on the topic that has to do with repairing a bricked Infinix hot note phone, we’d like to let you in on the concluding part which has to do with tips on what to do when your Infinix hot note or any other MTK phone refuses to turn on.

On the post where we talked exclusively on how to unbrick a bricked Infinix hot note device, we made mention of the fact that our Infinix hot note phone went on coma for like 4 days. This happened after there was an interruption in the flashing process using SP Flash tool.

Based on researches so far, our experience wasn’t special. The phone won’t turn on if there is an interruption in the flashing process. Hence, you shouldn’t say RIP to your Infinix hot note android phone just yet, the phone just needs to cool off.

Fix Infinix android MTK powered Phone not turning on

While you are wondering how to fix the sudden refusal to turn on, please note that the tips we are going to be laying out here ain’t for Infinix hot note alone, it’s virtually for every MTK android phone. Hence, if you experience same issue with your tecno phone, innjoo, Gionee or any other MTK phone, just follow the tips below:

Tips To Fix MTK Android Phone Not Turning On

Android phones released these days often comes in two variants based on battery. Removing and non removable.

While most people often think phones with removable batteries are easier to work with, pretty much can be done on the non-removable battery. To be fair, I’ll be sharing tips relating to using both types of infinix android phones.

For Removable Phone Batteries

  • If the battery is removable, you should remove the battery for a while and then fix it back and charge afterwards.
  • You can also try using a desktop charger in boasting the battery and continue charging using the phone.
  • It might take consistent charging before the phone decides to power on.

For Non-Removable Phone Batteries

Like in the case of the Infinix hot note, the battery is non-removable.

  • In such case, you should try charging using your computer for a few hours before reverting back to power outlet. You can continue doing this at intervals.
  • If opportune, leave the phone on charge for longer periods and if after doing this for like two days and there’s no improvements, keep the phone for like 2 days without charging. After that, you can try turning on and hopefully, the device might turn on.

When the device turns on, leave it to charge for like an hour before commencing the flashing process again and this time, make sure there is no interruption during the flashing process.

In my case, it took like 4 days before the device revived back and I made sure there was no interruption when commencing the flashing process and everything worked fine. Device is still working very well till date. If you happen to still experience any issues, please do not hesitate to use the comment session and we’d respond as soon as we can.

  • My hot 4 x557 went off suddenly whilst I was playing game on it about 4 days ago and doesn’t power on after the series of charging.
    Help me out, pals

  • As a result of one interruption or the other in sp flash tool you might get your devices bricked{not powering or showing the charging bar when plugged to an electricity output or your device is showing USB not recognized when connected to PC} not to worry follow the steps to get your devices up and running in no time!

    1. You have to open your device carefully! Make sure you have the right instruments for that if you’ve successful done that then the next step…
2.Locate the chip close to the battery at the top right corner of your device
3.Carefully remove the clip and insert it back (be very careful)
To figure out if you’ve actually done the right thing try powering your device.. Your device should come on at this point with the infinix boot logo
If that happens know you’re on the right track if it doesn’t try again
At that point your device is going to show only the infinix logo because there is no ROM to boot into as a result of the so flash tool error so all you have to do now is
    4. Open sp flash tool and click on scatter loading
    5. Locate your scatter file of the rom you want to flash and click on firmware upgrade and click DOWNLOAD wait for the process to complete and that’s it !

Your device is back to life :lol

  • pls help me, ,my own has been more than four days and it still wont come up. i need a real serious help. is it possible that it has TOTALLY crashed.?

    • Hi Romeo, if you followed the instructions squarely, you should be good. Just wait a little longer. Remember you need to keep charging the device.

  • Hello Samuel, d fone is now working though it goes off on its own once in awhile , I tried d four days continuous charging n on d 4th day it came up, u asked about how I removed d ba3,well, am kind of my own technician, I screwed d fone open n I was able remove d ba3 wen all d screw was out, even though I ended up breaking d screen.
Thanks to u d charging idea really helped

  • I encountered the same problem last week, while trying to flash the lollipop ROM on my infinix x507.
Before I tell you how I got the problem solved, I will love to let you know that the problem arose because parts of the file I was flashing had broken. And this terminated the ROM download on my device at just 4%
It actually took me five days to figure out the solution. The solution to this problem is to actually flash the firmware that got aborted on the phone again. In my case I flashed the stock ROM which I was trying to flash on the phone initially on the phone again, and my phone came on again with the charge indicator. But ensure the ROM you’re flashing has neither a broken or corrupt file. That’s when you extract the file, make sure the Rar or Zip App does not indicate any error(s). It the Winrar or WinZip reports any error, please do not flash it unto your phone. Just download another ROM or the same stock ROM again. There are also other things I did before arriving at the solution above.
I charge the phone with and without the battery
    I flashed the phone’s recovery.img on it
I flashed the preloader.bin on the device
I loosed the phone’s casing, by unscrewing the thirteen bolts. I thereafter removed the two clips on the phone’s panel gently, and returned them to their former position.
I flashed the kit kat stock ROM on the phone again
After doing all this my phone not still power on or charge, until I applied the solution above
Observations: What I observed was that since the previous ROM had been formatted prior to downloading the newer ROM, the interruption in the download process would have damaged a lot of the software components needed to booting a phone i.e the bootloader and the boot.IMG
Downloading the previous stock ROM is unlikely to help
Conclusion: Please when you’re downloading the new stock ROM, use the Firmware Upgrade options. And finally, there is no need to panick at all. Hope my epistle would help someone to bringing his or her bricked phone back to life.

  • Hello Samuel, pls reply
My infinix hot note is not working.. Actually it fell
inside water.. I removed d ba3 and dried d fone for some hours, wen I fixed in d ba3 d fone was blank, so I took it to an engineer to change d screen, it started working for a whole day n all of a sudden it went off, It shows
infinix n off, then it stopped booting.. . Pls what should i do abt

    • How did you preserve the phone when it fell into water? You mentioned removing the battery and drying it for a few hours.

Normally, the best way would have been, removing the battery and putting the phone in a rubber of rice or sack of rice for an least, a day. That way, the rice properly absorbs the water contained in any part of the phone.

BTW, the infinix Hot note I know, has a non-removable battery. So, how were you able to go about removing the battery?

  • Good morning, i’m Ed and i have a problem which I’m hoping you could help me out.
I had an upgrade notification on my infinix hot note 2, some few days ago.
I upgraded it successfully to 6.0 Marshmallow and had some problems, like, the phone can restart on its own and was running slow. I reset the phone several time yet nothing changed. So i downloaded the previous version which is lollipop 5.1. I successfully flashed it using the flash tool with no interruption. After the process the phone won’t power on and when i connect it to computer, would make no sound and nothing happens. Also i connected it to its original charger yet won’t charge. Please i’m hoping you could help me out. Looking forward to hearing from you. Thank you.

    • Hello Edward, it’s simple. My guess is, you flashed in the wrong ROM. Fortunately, it is not too late. You just need to find the right rom for your phone and flash that in.

  • Hi guys:)
My name is joshua bagasbas from phillipines. I was able to help you about unbricking dead phone. This is a help for the best of my knowledge. Some flash tool say’s brom error like 4032 or you have yo physically format your phonr. I am a cellphone technician.

    Ok lets begin the tutorial

First: install vcom driver that support on your computer or desktop.

Second: when you done installing vcom and preloader. Open sp flash tool. Load scatter file.

Third: click CTRL+alt+V to get advance mode

Fourth: CTRL+alt+O for physically format. Then if you done start download. If the brom error was showing on your desktop. Change it into format all+download.

It’s automatically download bootloader and continously download flash.

I hope it works. And also charge yout battery into universal charger. Because if you format preloader.bin? Your battery was not drain. Because it is formatted already. Flash it without battery ok. I hope it works. Don’t forget to say i love you to meXD joke;)

  • Hello, please reply asap, thanks, so my phone fell into water on Sunday morning, it was on so I quickly removed it, switched it off and cleaned it with A dry cloth in order to get the excess water off it, it is an infinix hot note x551, with a non removable battery, I removed my Sim and memory card and then placed it in uncooked rice for up to three days as I read on so many blogs including nairaland, it dried the water because I checked the visible parts where I saw water,I Even shook it and no water came out, but my problem now is that it has refused to come on or charge, some other people whose phones fell into water said that the uncooked rice worked for them, and their phones are working perfectly fine now but I’m not sure what’s up with mine ,please what do I do next,I’ve already taken the necessary steps, I’m a student, and my dad just got me this phone late December, I have no money for a new phone currently, what do I do next?? I’m using my little sis phone to type this You can email me,[email protected]

    • Hello Amaka, so sorry for the ordeal. The next advisable option would be taking the phone to an engineer.

  • my infinix hot note is not switching on.. apparently it was on battery low so I left it charging but when I came back I tried to switch it and won’t come back to life.. how do I solve this?
