The iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus were officially launched on the 9th of September, 2015. While pre-orders has been ongoing for a while now, the duo s went officially on sale three days ago.
Based on external design, there’s really no difference compared to what we have seen on the earlier iPhone 6 and 6s plus. The only difference is the S tag behind the phone.
Based on internal capabilities, of course, there has been some really noticeable advancement alongside improvement and some of the most talked about is the 3D Touch Feature, camera and 4K video capability.
Over 13million Apple iPhone 6s and 6s Plus Sold In A Week
Despite the fact that the devices are not available in most part of the world yet, Apple so far, says it has sold over 13 million units of the new iPhones. The company however added that Devices are expected to be available in about 40 additional countries beginning from October 9th including Italy, Mexico, Russia, Spain and Taiwan. Devices should be available in over 130 markets by the end of the year.
Comparing these figures to recent figures from other brands, it took Microsoft about 3 months in other to attain Lumia handset sales unit up to 8.4 million. Blackberry who’s launching an android device pretty soon, was only able to sell about 800,000 smartphones in its last quarter. Apparently, Apple still leads by a huge percentage.
Couple of days back, iOS 9 was released and according to Apple, 50% of all eligible devices had already upgraded to iOS 9 within the first 72 hours of official launch.
To be more precised, Apple says it has sold more than 13 million iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus in just about 3 days. This is certainly a new milestone for the company which goes a long way to show that they lead while others follow.
